Our Story

Yes — we did the exams and have the badges — and don’t tell anyone but we actually enjoy calculating taxes, but there’s a lot more you need from an accountant right?

We believe that small businesses are the backbone of our communities and we want to support them to grow by acting as their partner when it comes to all things finance. Our favourite part of the process is getting to know you, we believe it’s perhaps the most important part.

We’re Far from traditional

We both trained and qualified as accountants more than 10 years ago and whilst working at several traditional accounting firms. Most accountants these days farm out bookkeeping to offshore accountants, use AI to automate responses and provide advice or employee school leavers to do the day to day work whilst they sit in a large city office.

So we started something better

Something personal, a tailored service where we really get to know you, not just a cookie cutter offering. This way we get to run our business around our families (pets included).

We work with clients based on their values, not which industry they’re in or how much they pay us. If you’re looking for an honest, two way, effective working relationship then we’re for you! Oh…and you must love dogs.

Something new

We started our business to make sure that minority and female-led business owners were getting the help and clarity they needed to make better decisions from day 1.

According to the BBC, women are half as likely to start a business than men. I want to change that — showing just how easy it can be to start and succeed with your business when you know the numbers.

Our job is to make business accounting insightful and easy. We work as a part of your team — Think of us as people who provide helpful, practical advice to positively impact your company’s trajectory and direction.

We’re fully qualified with ICAEW/AAT and hold a full practising license. We’re fully insured — feel free to ask for insurance and practising certificates, we’re not shy!

We only work with Xero software — I believe it gives the highest quality of insight back to the businesses that use it — supported by other software and apps that make accounting effortless and instant.
